Portishead
Cuado Barrow colaboro para Massive Attack le llamaban >Ese tipo de Portishead< (su pueblo natal), de ahi surgio el nombre para su propia banda. Portishead es una banda pionera de Trip-Hop (una mezcla de Jazz, Soul, Hip-Hop, Rock, Ruidos,Sinfonica) con una huraña pero sexy voz femenina, que embruja a quienes oyen las dramaticas letras. Los caracteriza su radical manera de tocar, pues usan instrumentos muy sencillos hasta lo mas osado, como una orqueta sinfonica, lo cual crea diversas texturas tanto en sus discos como al tocar en vivo. En 2002 se desintegran, pero Beth crea un proyecto solista al lado de Rustin Man, generando sonidos minimalsitas y con falsetes mas estructurados, pero evidentemente bajo la influencia de Portishead.
